Our Story
Our story began when Yvonne Brown was notified about an elderly brother from church who was in need of help, who lived on his own and had experienced a series of strokes. Immediately jumping into action, the Orthodox Outreach Program was formed. As a member of his community, Yvonne rallied financial support from family members in order to provide him with groceries and cooked meals. It started with one person in need and now grew to 13 families which the Orthodox Outreach Program currently provides aide and support. Families whom we support receive groceries, cooked meals, and/or other services such as: senior sitting, running errands, accompanying to grocery shop, conduct prayer meetings, companionship, donating clothes, shoes, toys, and food boxes.
